I spend most of every day, most weeks (except a couple on the NH beach and a couple at [Stratton](http://www.stratton.com) snowboarding), every month and every quarter thinking about and working in the professions of Sales & Marketing. 

- I love the complexity of the work
- I get excited about how to apply processes, math and tools to Sales
- I find that the technology solutions have the "oh, wow!" effect
- ...and I can see immediate results and postive impact in salespeople

...but sometimes I step back from it all, and realize just how insignificant we all are in the giant scheme of things.  

### **The Scale of the Universe**

As I was thinking about writing a blog this week on the subject of 2014 business planning, I clicked on to this fascinating presentation which graphically shows where I fit into the scheme of things.  

Just click **[HERE](http://htwins.net/scale2/)**, hit "Start" and then use the scroll bar on the bottom to visualize where we fit into the scale of things. 

Hard for me to believe that *I* would be saying this, but just maybe that 2014 business plan isn't that important.  ***At least for today.***
